When developing the E9X M3 airbox lid, Eventuri’s engineering team took a deliberate and respectful approach to one of BMW’s most advanced factory intake systems. The OEM S65 airbox was co-developed by BMW in collaboration with the Williams Formula 1 team, making it one of the most thoroughly engineered components on the E9X M3. Rather than redesigning a proven system, Eventuri focused on refining a single element, the airbox lid.

The Eventuri carbon airbox lid replaces the factory plastic lid while retaining the original BMW airbox design and internal architecture. This approach preserves the performance-focused engineering developed by BMW and Williams, while enhancing induction sound and visual appeal. The result is a noticeable increase in airbox sound without compromising the factory system’s effectiveness.

Manufactured from 100% pre-preg carbon fibre with a matte clear coat finish, the lid offers exceptional surface quality, strength, and weight consistency. It installs as a direct replacement for the OEM plastic lid, using all factory mounting points and hardware to ensure precise fitment and secure installation.

Designed to integrate seamlessly with both the stock intake system and Eventuri’s optional intake and carbon plenum upgrades, the carbon weave and finish are matched for a cohesive engine bay appearance.
